To develop an interface between nearby communities and University to disseminate the spirit of positive development.
To promote holistic development of the nearby communities through pragmatic and sustainable intervention strategies.
To create a positive atmosphere in the villages where the prevailing social problems can alleviate and lead them to positive social development.
To engage the vulnerable section of the communities, including women, children, elderly and disabled into the mainstream.
To liaison with Government Institutions, development organizations, NGO’s and Corporate partners for the integrated development of the villages.

Major areas of interventions
Establishment of Community Libraries and Resource Centers (CLRC)
CLRC can be potential centers of learning for the rural areas; it can open up a whole new world of learning. Keeping this in mind Central University of Rajasthan in cooperation with the villagers established CLRC in four communities.
Water Management through Soak Pit
Soak Pit is an indigenous water management technology that ensures the cleanliness at household and village level. It is a pit constructed near the water outlet of kitchen or bathroom and filled with filter materials which are locally available-pebbles, sand and brickbats. With the support and active participation of villagers 80 soak pits were constructed in villages.
University is engaged actively in sensitizing the rural communities on the issues of sanitation. Sensitization programmes like rallies, street plays and village cleanliness drives are observed with emphasize on motivating people to construct personal toilet.
Tree plantation drives are observed in all the adopted villages. Around 1500 saplings are planted in different parts of the village.
